Council President Lawrence called the Committee of The Whole
Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order and led the audience in the
Pledge of Allegiance.

ALLAN EKBERG, STEVE MULLET.

LINDA COHEN, City Attorney; LUCY LAUTERBACH, Council
Analyst; DON WILLIAMS, Parks Recreation; ALAN DOERSCHEL,
Finance.
The Council continued discussion of the Parks and
Open Space Plan. They reviewed the plan's park and
recreation improvements for the 1993 1998 period as
it will appear in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) with some
modifications.
The Mayor proposed to the Council that September 13 be scheduled to
begin the work on the CIP. He's already been tossing around ideas with
the Finance Director of how to incorporate the City's plans for the
residents without destroying our ability to cope with the financial down
turn or the new opportunities that come along?
The discussion concluded with Williams informing the Council what to
expect next week. He said the amended Plan will provide the direction
for the financial strategy for the projects proposed as well as the schedule
and implementation of those projects.
It was the consensus of the Council to forward the draft Parks and Open
Space Plan with amendments to the next Regular Council for approval.

ADJOURN TO THE MEETING. MOTION CARRIED.
