2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unless approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All mechanical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center
(206/431 - 3670).
4: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
5: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International
Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code.
6: There shall be no occupancy of a building until final inspection has been completed and approved by Tukwila building
inspector. No exception.
7: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap the sanitary
sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks, wells, and other
excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of
this requirement.
8: Manufacturers installation instructions shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection.
9: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the Cityof Tukwila
Permit Center.
10: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building
Department (206 - 431 - 3670).
11: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.
12: ** *FIRE DEPARTMENT CONDITIONS * **
13: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by the Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
14: H.V.A.C. units rated at greater than 2,000 cfm require auto - shutdown devices. These devices shall be separately zoned
in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station supervision is required. (City Ordinance #2051)
15: H.V.A.C. systems supplying air in excess of 2,000 cubic feet per minute to enclosed spaces within buildings shall be

equipped with an automatic shutoff. Automatic shutoff shall be accomplished by interrupting the power source of the
air- moving equipment upon detection of smoke in the main return-air duct served by such equipment. Smoke detectors
shall be labeled by an approved agency for air -duct installation and shall be installed in accordance with the
manufacturer's installation instructions. (IMC 606.1, 606.2.1)
16: Remote indicator lights are required on all above ceiling smoke detectors. (City Ordinance #2051)
17: Duct smoke detectors shall be capable of being reset from a single point near the alarm panel. (City Ordinance #2051)
18: Duct detectors shall send a supervisory signal only upon activation. (City Ordinance #2051)
19: Maintain fire alarm system audible /visual notification. Addition/relocation of walls or partitions may require
relocation and/or addition of audible /visual notification devices. (City Ordinance #2051)
20: All new fire alarm systems or modifications to existing systems shall have the written approval of The Tukwila Fire
Prevention Bureau. No work shall commence until a fire department permit has been obtained. (City Ordinance #2051) (IFC
104.2)
21: An electrical permit from the City of Tukwila Building Department Permit Center (206 - 431 -3670) is required for this
project.
22: Maintain sprinkler coverage per N.F.P.A. 13. Addition/relocation of walls, closets or partitions may require relocating
and/or adding sprinkler heads. (IFC 901.4)
23: Sprinklers shall be installed under fixed obstructions over 4 feet (1.2 m) wide such as ducts, decks, open grate
flooring, cutting tables, shelves and overhead doors. (NFPA 13- 8.6.5.3.3)
24: All new sprinkler systems and all modifications to existing sprinkler systems shall have fire department review and
approval of drawings prior to installation or modification. New sprinkler systems and all modifications to sprinkler
systems involving more than 50 heads shall have the written approval of the W.S.R.B., Factory Mutual, Industrial Risk
Insurers Kemper or any other representative designated and/or recognized by the City of Tukwila, prior to submittal to
the Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau. No sprinkler work shall commence without approved drawings. (City Ordinance #2050)
25: Contact The Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau to witness all required inspections and tests. (City Ordinances #2050 and
#2051)
26: Any overlooked hazardous condition and/or violation of the adopted Fire or Building Codes does not imply approval of
such condition or violation.

In reviewing our current records the above noted permit has not received a final inspection by the City of Tukwila Building Division.
Per the International Codes, Uniform Plumbing/Fuel Gas Code and/or the National Electrical Code, every permit issued by the
Building Division under the provisions of the code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work
authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit issuance, or if the building or work
authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 -431 -2451 to schedule for the next or final inspection.
This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if
the project should be considered abandoned.
If such determination is made, the International Codes, Uniform Plumbing/Fuel Gas Code and/or the National Electrical Code does
allow the Building Official to approve one extension of time for an additional period not exceeding 180 days. Extension requests
must be in writine and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances beyond the applicants control have prevented action from
being taken.

SPACE
b. PROVIDING ALL SERVICE OF EQUIPMENT OUTSIDE OF THE COMPUTER ROOM TO
ELIMINATE POTENTIAL WATER LEAKS, AND DUST PRODUCING ACTIVITIES.
c. PROVIDING ENCLOSURES AROUND THE WORK AREA TO ELIMINATE AIR FROM
LEAKING OUT OF THE RAISED FLOOR.
d. LIMITING THE LIFTING OF FLOOR TILES TO NO MORE THAN TWO FOR MORE THAN
5 MINUTES OUT SIDE OF WORK ENCLOSURE AREAS. EXCEEDING THIS WILL RAISE
THE TEMPERATURE IN CRITICAL PARTS OF THE COMPUTER ROOM.
2) SERVICE ACCESS TO THE COMPUTER ROOM CAN BE PROVIDED FROM THE NORTH
EXTERIOR DOOR. SEE PLANS
3) NOTE THAT THERE IS NO INTENT TO USE THE EXISTING HUMIDIFIERS IN THE COMPUTER
ROOM AIR CONDITIONING UNITS.
4) PROVIDE A REPORT FOR EACH UNIT LISTING THE FINDINGS OF THE SERVICE REPORT.
CLEARLY STATE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER REPAIR.
5) EXISTING CHILLED WATER LOOP CONTAINS ETHELYNE GLYCOL. DO NOT DUMP TO DRAIN.

INSTALL SEISMIC BRACING FOR ALL DUCTWORK, EQUIPMENT AND PIPING PER
I.B.C. REQUIREMENTS.
MECHANICAL DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC IN NATURE, AND DO NOT NECESSARILY
REFLECT EVERY REQUIRED OFF -SET, FITTING OR ACCESSORY.
COORDINATE INSTALLATION OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS WITH BUILDING STRUCTURE
AND ALL OTHER TRADES.
THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE JOB SITE PRIOR TO BEGINNING
WORK IN ORDER TO OBSERVE EXISTING CONDITIONS. VERIFY EXACT SIZE, LOCATION
AND CONDITION OF ALL EXISTING SYSTEMS, DUCTS, PIPES, UTILITIES AND

RELOCATE EXISTING SPRINKLER HEADS & PROVIDE NEW HEADS AS REQUIRED TO
MAINTAIN A COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINLKER SYSTEM PER
N.F.PA 13. PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED PIPING, HEADS AND ACCESSORIES. PROVIDE ALL
REQUIRED CALCULATIONS. OBTAIN ANY REQUIRED PERMITS, AND PAY ALL REQUIRED
FEES IN ORDER TO INSTALL A COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL SYSTEM.
ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT LOCATED IN CEILING CAVITIES THAT REQUIRE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTION SHALL HAVE AN 8 -1/2 "x11" LAMINATED SIGN PERMANENTLY MOUNTED ON
THE ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURES THAT INDICATES: "THIS EQUIPMENT MUST HAVE A MINIMUM
ACCESS OF 36" (LESS THAN 460V) AND 42" (460V AND ABOVE) ". NO TRADE SHALL
BLOCK THIS SPACE EVEN IF SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. INSTALL SIGN PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT.
ENERGY CODE NOTES
EACH SYSTEM OR ZONE THERMOSTAT SHALL BE CAPABLE OF A DEADBAND OF
AT LEAST 5 F. WITHIN WHICH THE SUPPLY OF HEATING AND COOLING ENERGY
IS SHUT OFF OR REDUCED TO A MINIMUM. SEE SPECIFICATIONS.
EACH HVAC SYSTEM SHALL HAVE AUTOMATIC CONTROLS WITH A MINIMUM
SEVEN DAY CLOCK CAPABLE OF BEING SET FOR SEVEN DIFFERENT DAY
TYPES PER WEEK. SEE SPECIFICATIONS.
HVAC CONTROL SYSTEMS SHALL BE TESTED TO ENSURE THAT CONTROL
DEVICES, COMPONENTS, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS ARE CALIBRATED, ADJUSTED
AND OPERATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
A COMPLETE REPORT OF TEST PROCEDURES AND RESULTS SHALL BE
PREPARED AND FILED WITH OWNER.
AS -BUILT DRAWINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO BUILDING OWNER ACCORDING TO THE WSEC
SECTION 1416.1.
AN OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THE BUILDING OWNER
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WSEC SECTION 1416.2.

MAINTAIN A COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINLKER SYSTEM PER
N.F.PA 13. PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED PIPING, HEADS AND ACCESSORIES. PROVIDE ALL
REQUIRED CALCULATIONS. OBTAIN ANY REQUIRED PERMITS, AND PAY ALL REQUIRED
FEES IN ORDER TO INSTALL A COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL SYSTEM.
ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT LOCATED IN CEILING CAVITIES THAT REQUIRE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTION SHALL HAVE AN 8 -1/2 "x11" LAMINATED SIGN PERMANENTLY MOUNTED ON
THE ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURES THAT INDICATES: "THIS EQUIPMENT MUST HAVE A MINIMUM
ACCESS OF 36" (LESS THAN 460V) AND 42" (460V AND ABOVE) ". NO TRADE SHALL
BLOCK THIS SPACE EVEN IF SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. INSTALL SIGN PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT.
ENERGY CODE NOTES
EACH SYSTEM OR ZONE THERMOSTAT SHALL BE CAPABLE OF A DEADBAND OF
AT LEAST 5 F. WITHIN WHICH THE SUPPLY OF HEATING AND COOLING ENERGY
IS SHUT OFF OR REDUCED TO A MINIMUM. SEE SPECIFICATIONS.
EACH HVAC SYSTEM SHALL HAVE AUTOMATIC CONTROLS WITH A MINIMUM
SEVEN DAY CLOCK CAPABLE OF BEING SET FOR SEVEN DIFFERENT DAY
TYPES PER WEEK. SEE SPECIFICATIONS.
HVAC CONTROL SYSTEMS SHALL BE TESTED TO ENSURE THAT CONTROL
DEVICES, COMPONENTS, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS ARE CALIBRATED, ADJUSTED
AND OPERATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
A COMPLETE REPORT OF TEST PROCEDURES AND RESULTS SHALL BE
PREPARED AND FILED WITH OWNER.
AS -BUILT DRAWINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO BUILDING OWNER ACCORDING TO THE WSEC
SECTION 1416.1.

F. REPLACE CONTROL VALVE.
G. TEST ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS.
H. RUN FAN AND CHECK BEARINGS.
I. VISUALLY INSPECT CONTACTORS.
J. CHECK CONTROLS.
AFTER COMPLETION OF SERVICE RELOCATE CRAC -3 & CRAC -4 TO
ORIGINAL LOCATION IN SEQUENCE. RECONNECT ELECTRICAL, CHILLED
WATER & TROUBLE ALARM.
ONLY AFTER CRAC -3 & CRAC -4 ARE IN OPERATION MOVE CRAC -17 TO
NEW LOCATION.
* PROVIDE TEMPORARY 2" HOSE RATED FOR 100 PSI TO CRAG -17.
PROVIDE ELECTRICAL START UNIT AND PLACE IN OPERATION.
MOVE CRAC-- 1A(FH2OOC -A00) TO NEW TEMPORARY SERVICE LOCATION.
PROVIDE SERVICE ON CRAC- 1A(FH200C -A00). SERVICE SHALL INCLUDE
THE FOLLOWING:
