The following additional information is being provided in response to the indicated inspection comments as numbered dated 08/15 / 05: #2 - I inspected the steel frame welds and checked the welder certification and determined that the completed welds meet the requirements of the design and the building code. #3- The steel framed curtain wall along the top of the paint booth is safe, please refer to the attached details. #4- I reviewed the design calculations and have determined that the SPF lumber has adequate strength to meet the design requirements and is an acceptable substitution. #5- The steel frame at the door is braced and supported by the paint booth structure. The expansion anchors used on the base plate have minimal loading and are not required for adequate and safe performance of the door frame. Therefore the anchors into the asphalt are acceptable.
