Uniform Building Code and the Washington Stote Energy Code. latest edition. Verify oil

Insulation
64. Walls: Insuloted with R -21 bott (for 2x6 walls) and R -21 bott (for 2x4 walls) unless

65. Roof and ceiling: Insulated with R -38 bolt. Provide insulation in ceiling where
possible and in 2x12 rofters if vaulted ceiling conditions exist. Mointain o minimum of 2"

Standard PS -1 for Softwood Plywood ". Eoch piece sholl beor the APA grade trodemork of
the Americon Plywood Association. Plywood roof and wall sheathing to be C -D INT -APA
(with exterior glue) per UBC Standards unless noted otherwise. Minimum plywood to be 6"
o.c. ot all supported edges and 12" o.c. of interior supports. Nails to be 8d common for
1/2" plywood. 10d common for 5/8" and 3/4" plywood roof and floor sheathing. Stagger
and lop of roof and floor sheathing. Nails shall be driven flush but not frocture the
surfoce of the sheathing. All floor sheathing to be glued and noiled continuously at all
floor joists. Spon noting shall be 40/20 in .3" floor sheathing and 20/0 in Jr roof /wolf

Notional Reseorch Board. Each piece shall bear o stomp or stomps noting the nome and
plant monufacturer, the grode, the Notional Reseorch Boord number. and the quality
control agency. All lominoted veneer lumber shall be monufoctured in occordonce with
NER -126 using Douglos Fir veneer glued with o waterproof odhesive meeting the
requirements of ASTM D2559 with all grain paroltel with the length of the member.

Design shown on plans is based on lumber manufactured by the Trus -Joist Corporation_
Alternate monufocturers may be used subject to review and opprovol by the orchitect and
