ADDRESS; 727 South Kenyon St. Seattle, WA 98105 CONTACT: Adam Myers PROJECT: Armed Services -349 Tukwila Parkway (HVAC) LOCATION: ' Tukwila; Washton PREPARED BY: Greg Gilda/Iacob Gokey RE; Armed Services - 349 Tukwila Parkway (HVAC) eld report DATE: 11/4/2004 JOB #; 04-11 -325 Our office visited the one-story office building located at 349 Tukwila Partway in Tukwila on September 15th, 2004 to detennine whether or not the existing structure was adequate to support the addition of two HVAC units to the roof. The existing structure is a one story steel-framed building with steel tube column-,, open web steel joists and steel The model of the HVAC units to be cdded is GCS16- 036.90 -6Y. The total installed weight of the unit and the curb frame is 500 pounds. Based on our review, it appears that weight from the HVAC units will have minimal affect on the structural integrity of the building. Installation rocommeodations are as follows: • The HVAC units shill be installed on (2) PT 4 x 6 DF #1 10 f long beams per SSKl. The beams will spin between the existing open web steel joists that are spaced at 7 1/2 ft. The beam should over span by 1 V. ft over the existing joists. • All connections from the HVAC unit and curb to the pressure treated wood must be hot dipped galvanized. New sheathing should be replaced and re with similar sheathing. Finishes, waterproofing. and other non-structural items sba11 be provided by the contractor. These recommendations are made based on the conditions visible at the time. Should conditions occur which are not described in this report, our office should be notified immediately. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact our office. Thank you. • t D • - .r ... 1090 .. ..
