The reason for this is as follows: Before commencing the work, we applied for and received the above referenced mechanical permit number and our subcontractor (main street electric) applied for and received an electrical permit. Upon substantial completion of the project, the electrical inspector signed off his permit. We then called for final mechanical inspection. The inspector (I do not recall his name) informed me that there was not an electrical service outlet close enough to one of the five rooftop A/C units we installed. We had Main Street Electric install an additional electrical service outlet and then called for a final electrical inspection again. After repeated calls, I was informed by Main Street Electric that the electrical inspector would not final the job again, insisting that his initial final was sufficient. At that time, I called for mechanical final again, but the inspector who came out (Dave Larson) indicated that the electrical final still needed to be done on the additional electrical work before he would sign off on the job. I informed him of the fact that the electrical inspector would not come back out after repeated calls. Dave indicated that he would call the electrical inspector directly and get the matter resolved. I assumed that this had been done and the mechanical permit had been closed out because I never heard anything after that. At this point in time, we have exhausted all measures trying to get this job closed out. We have done everything as asked by both inspectors, other than getting the electrical final inspection completed (not for lack of effort). Can you please discuss this with Dave Larson and advise us what can be done to resolve this matter? I am also assuming that we would need an extension on the above referenced permit.
