Doug Davis 206 -284 -9198 PIM TYPICAL SPECIFICATIONS Roof exhaust fans shall be up blast centrifugal direct drive type. Wall exhaust fans shall be centrifugal direct drive type. The fan impeller shall be centrifugal with single thickness backward curved mean airfoil blades constructed of aluminum. The impeller shall be optimally matched with a die - formed orifice. The impeller shall be dynamically balanced. The fan housing shall be constructed of heavy gauge aluminum with rigid steel internal supports and Integral drain. Windband shall have a rolled bead for strength. When exhausting grease, the Acme SeamLock Manufacturing method shall provide a sealed perimeter for the windband and curb Cap. Sealed ball bearing motors shall be mounted out of the air stream. The motor compartment shall be ventilated with fresh outside air by the "forced air cooling system. The steel support brackets shall transmit the weight of the motor and impeller directly to the windband /curb to prevent orifice distortion. Fan shall be designed to create a high velocity discharge jet, which produces a high upward throw of exhaust air above the roof level, For service and maintenance, the motor compartment, motor and wheel assembly shall be designed for easy removal and access. Quick release latches shall be standard for easy access to the motor compartment. Fans exhausting grease shall have a handle on the motor cover for fast, easy access to the motor compartment. Birdscreen shall be made from heavy gauge galvanized wire forming concentric circles and attached at the top of the windband. A conduit post shall be provided through the curbcap /mounting plate to the motor compartment for ease of electrical wiring except for explosion resistant. Restaurant fans to be wired through a separate conduit to an exterior mounted disconnect switch. A disconnect device /switch shall be factory installed and wired from the fan motor to a Junction box Note: A Junction box is not used on sizes BO through 135RF. All RG units will be wired to the exterior mounted junction boxy, which Include the discount switch. Standard wiring shall comply with the National Electric Code and NBFU Standards and the fan shall be listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL705). Model PDU -RG shall be listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL762) for restaurant exhaust in their "Fire Protection Equipment Directory" under "Power Ventilators for Restaurant Exhaust Applications (Y' All fans shall bear the ANIMA Certified Ratings Seal for sound and air performance and shall be listed by the Canadian Standards Association Testing Laboratory (CSA). Thermal overload protectors shall be standard for one speed single phase ODP (open drip proof) and EP (evIosion resistant) motors. Fan shall be Model PDU as manufactured by Acme Engineering and Manufacturing Corporation of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
