Verify at equipment interfaces are correctly sized and positioned with the proper hardware available to make connections. 6. Install the new fluid cooler in the cooling tower room on top of 11 -14 -S . Mount fluid cooler to building structure. Connect existing piping systems, electrical interfaces and control systems to the new cooler. Perform Leak test of installed fluid cooler and piping system back to first upstream and downstream isolation valves. 7. Perform manufacturers recommended start up and acceptance tests. Support Boeing Facilities Services in performing laser alignment of motor and fan drive system. 8. Restoration of jobsite, staging areas, and other areas used to original condition after completion of each phase of the work and after completion of the total job 9. Both buildings in this complex are fully occupied. WA 98188 Subject: Building 11 -14S Penthouse Fluid Cooler Replacement, Boeing Facilities Job Na. 712303 -00 Dear Mr. Dunaway This letter addresses the building structure supporting the subject fluid cooler. After the February 28'" earthquake, Building 11 - 14S was thoroughly inspected for damage by Boeing Facilities Services structural engineers. No structural damage was found in this building. In addition. I have re-examined the penthouse floor structure that supports the fluid cooler, and have not found any evidence of earthquake damage. The replacement fluid cooler is a duplicate of the original, with the same configuration, weight, center of gravity, and mounting arrangement. Therefore, the job for replacing the fluid cooler will not include any repair or alteration of the building support sttacture. Our mechanical engineer, Lee Thomas, and construction administrator, William Printy, will send th fluid cooler specifications (under separate cover), to provide verification that the replacement matches the origimal.
