Based on the above, you are hereby advised to: • Call the City Of Tukwila Permit Center at (206) 431 -3670 to schedule a progress or a final inspection A progress inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if the project should be considered abandoned. If such determination is made, the Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve a one -time extension up to 180 days. Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances beyond the applicant's control have prevented action from being taken. In the event you do not call for the above inspection or request and receive an extension prior to June 16, 2002, your permit will become null and void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees. Received Time Nov.30. 9:I6PM Engineering Services Inc. Cc. Carson Horner, Boeing Co; Shawn Larson, Johansen Mechancial 206 -256 -0273 This letter is a follow -up to the recent conversations we have had in regard to the dust collection systems proposed for the Boeing 9 -50 building and a follow up to the letter I sent you via fax on August 25, 01 (copy attached). In our phone discussion earlier today you expressed concern over the acceptance of indoor location relative to recognized third party standards being complied with, especially in regards to the `treated by removing contaminants" per UMC 505. 1 have attached a copy of a faxed copy of the Factory Mutual requirements for air filtration, 1 have also attached the performance of the HEPA after filter we are using. This illustrates the compliance of our filtration system. In regards to application of this specific model of dust collector 1 have found no UL listing relative to dust collection systems (of Sternvent, Torit, or several other manufactures) , I have found them for the electrical panels for the units but I do not think that is the discussion. 1 have specified and designed Sternvent dust collections for over eight years and they have always been of high quality product. The Sternvent company has been in the dust collector business for over 30 years and I believe this adds quality assurance to their recommendation that this is a correct application of their product. And most important is the application, which is very light use and incidental to the use of the space as we discussed in our previous letter (please see attached). It is my professional opinion that these specific collectors are a much higher quality and have a better filter efficiency that you would typically see on a unit specific, incidental use application. I request your acceptance of these collectors for this design and usage of the space.
