Expiration of Plan Review - Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by
limitation. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written
request by the applicant as defined in Section 114.4 of the Uniform Mechanical Code (current edition). No application shall be
extended more than once.

Roof plan required to identify individual equipment and the location of each installation (Uniform
Mechanical Code 504 (e))
Details and elevations (for roof mounted equipment) and proposed screening •
Heat Loss Calculations or Washington State Energy Code Form #H -7
H.V.A.C. over 2,000 CFM (approximately 5 ton and larger) must be provided with smoke detection shut-
off and will be routed to the Fire Prevention division for additional comments (Uniform Mechanical
Code 1009).
Specifications must be provided to show that replacement equipment complies with the efficiency ratings
and other applicable requirements of the Washington State Nonresidential Energy Code.
Structural engineer's analysis is required for new and the replacement of existing roof equipment
weighing 400 pounds and greater (Uniform Building Code 1632.1). Structural documentation shall be
stamped by a Washington State licensed Structural Engineer.

(1997 Edition), and Washington State Energy Code (1997 Edition).
6: Validity of Permit. The issuance of a permit or approval of plans, specifications, and computations shall not be con- strued to be a
permit for, or an approval
of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinance of the jurisdiction. No permit presuming to
give authority to violate
or cancel the provisions of this code shall be valid.

8: ** *FIRE DEPARTMENT CONDITIONS * **
9: The attached set of plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns:
10: H.V.A.C. units rated at greater than 2,000 cfm require auto - shutdown devices. These devices shall be separately zoned in the
alarm panel and local U.L. central
station supervision is required. (City Ordinance #1900)
11: H.V.A.C. systems supplying air in excess of 2,000 cubic feet per minute to enclosed spaces within buildings shall be equipped
with an automatic shutoff.
Automatic shutoff shall be accomplished by interrupting the power source of the air - moving equipment upon detection of smoke in the
main supply -air duct served
by such equipment. Smoke detectors shall be labeled by an approved agency for air -duct installation and shall be installed in
accordance with the
manufacturer's installation instructions. (UMC 608)
12: Duct smoke detectors shall be capable for being reset from the alarm panel. (City Ordinance #1900)
13: Remote alarm annunciation indication is required if the control panel is not visible from the main entrance. (City Ordinance
#1900)
14: In areas that are not continuously occupied, automatic smoke detection shall be provided at each control unit(s) location to
provide notification of fire at
that location. (NFPA 1 -5.6)
15: The installation of wiring and equipment shall be in accordance with N.F.P.A. 70, Article 760, Fire Protective Signaling Systems.
(NFPA 72 -1- 5.5.4)
16: When the control panel is located inside a room, the door to the room shall have a sign with one -inch letters which reads "Fire
Alarm" or "Fire Alarm Control ".

17: Dedicated fire alarm system circuit breaker(s) shall be equipped with a mechanical lockout device. (NFPA 72 (1- 5.2.8.2))
18: All new fire alarm systems or modifications to existing systems shall have the written approval of the Tukwila Fire Prevention

This letter is in response to the Building Department comments dated 10/26/2001 concerning the
mechanical scope of work to be performed under the mechanical permit for the above mentioned project.
The mechanical scope of work for this project includes the following:
- Two (2) new 10 ton packaged rooftop heat pumps with economizer controls will be installed.
- One (1) new toilet exhaust fan system (100 cfin).
- One (1) new smoke exhaust fan system (8,800 cfm smoke exhaust).
- The HVAC system will have a plenum return.
- New ductwork and diffusers will be installed.
- New toilet room and mop sink will be installed.
-Refer to tenant's mechanical drawings M1, M2 & M3 for design layout and specifications.
- Refer to landlord TTM -1 thru TTM -6 construction drawings
