• Discussion:
• I and R stats shared along with trends. Jan shared around family challenges at Riverton
• By laws reviewed and unanimously approved
• Family Homelessness — continued challenges with Family Housing Connection system. Group agreed to submit a
letter to the head of Housing and Community Development around the impacts of the narrow definition of
homelessness. Evie talked about specific family issues. Jan shared information around Tent City of Tukwila.
Discussion around where affordable housing could be built and what would be the political support.
• RFP proprosal process discussed. Members signed conflict of interest document, heard about new agencies
applying, Linda has agreed to continue on with the board through the 2015/2015 process. The June 19th meeting
date will not work with two members.
• Jan concerned with Sound Mental Health performance related to specific family at the church.
• Will shared summer school schedule — capacity for 500 kids Summer school is for students not at grade level
academic proficiency
Conclusions:
Action items: Jennafer will draft a letter re definition of homelessness.
Linda will follow up re KCHA resources for both individual family and
systemic needs. Board members will pick up their notebooks on May 19th
