Cooling Only (Compressors & Condenser Fan Motors), or Cooling With Gas, Hot Water or Steam Heat, or Fan (Supply /Return) Only Power Circuit: Determine the wire sizing amps equal to 125% of the FLA for the largest motor plugs 100% of the FLA for all of the other loads. b. Electric Heat Only: Determine the wire sizing amps equal to 125% of the electric heater. c. Cooling Plus Electric Heat: COOLING MODE: First determine the wire sizing amps equal to 125% of the FLA for the largest motor plus 100% of the FLA for all of the other motor loads. HEATING MODE: Then determine the wire sizing amps equal to 125% of the electric heater plus 125% of the supply fan motor plus the return fan motor. The larger of the two values must be used to select the correct wire size. NOTE: Control circuit ampacity does not need to be considered In calculation of wire sizing ampacity. If the unit is provided with fan sec- tion(s) lights, a separate 15 amp, 120 volt power supply is required. 4. Size wires in accordance with Table 310.16 or 310.19 of the National Elec- trical Code. 5. Wires should be sized for a maximum of 3% voltage drop. SavderGenera I 13600 Industrial Park Blvd., PO. Catalog 215 / Page 35 McQuav® International Application The Open Protocol Master (OPM) Panel is a microproces- sor -based controller that allows building automation sys- tems (BAS) to obtain information from all networked MicroTech controllers via a single communications port. The OPM Panel acts only as a communications link be- tween MicroTech controllers and a participating manufac- turer's BAS. The OPM Panel does not control the various unit or network system controllers. An IBM' compatible computer containing MicroTech Open Protocol"' MonitorTM software is used to commission the network. The Open Protocol Monitor software and li- cense agreement must be purchased in addition to the OPM Panel. Features of the OPM Panel • Microprocessor Control Board (MCB) The MCB contains the necessary components that allow the OPM Panel to communicate with the BAS and the MicroTech controllers. • Two Communications Ports The communications ports allow for network communi- cations using RS -485 and for direct communication with a PC or a participating BAS using RS-485 or RS -232. • Port A Select Switch The port A select switch enables the user to change port A to RS -485 interface or RS -232 interface. Engineering Data P RODUCT GROUP Network S ystems MicroTech Open Protocol Master Panel Submittal Sheet • LEDs The LEDs on the MCB allow the user to monitor power and communications. Reset LED — Illuminates for five seconds when power Is applied to the MCB. Status LED — Indicates when the MCB is operational and ready to communicate. Watchdog LED — Operates the same as the Reset LED.
