Sheet Metal: Provide sheet metal in accordance with current Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) HVAC Duct Construction Standards. All ductwork will be galvanized sheet metal pressure dassl -inch WG, seal class C. Duct Insulation: Provide extemai insulation on outside air ductwork and mixed air plenum from louver to HVU -1. Fiberglass flexible blanket with foil- scrim -kraft facing. Density 1.5 pounds per cubic foot. Wiring: Provide all devices, conduit and wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Code. Testing and Balancing: Balance the HVU -1 and EF -1 and their associdated outlets to the air quantities shown in accordance with NEBB standards. Provide differential air quantities show. Controls: Provide DDC or Electronic Controls devices, wiring and progarmming to perform the forllowing sequence of operation. Heating Mode Provide a heating thermostat to start heating and ventilating unit HVU -1 when heating is required. When running in heating mode the system shall operate with the outside damper at 10- percent open (adjustable), the retum air by -pass damper open, and the exhaust damper closed. When no heating is required HVU -1 shall stop, the outside air damper shall close, the retum air by -pass damper and exhaust damper shall be open. Ventilation Mode HVU -1, EF -1, the outside air damper, the by -pass air dampers and the exhaust damper shall be interlocked with position switches on the Apparatus Room doors so that when any of the doors Is opened, HVU-1 and EF -1 will start in the ventilation mode with the outside air damper and the exhaust damper full open and the retum air by -pass damper closed. After all Apparatus Room doors are dosed HVU -1 and EF -1 shall continue to run in the ventilation mode for 5- minutes (adjustable). At the end of this time period the system shall return to the heating mode.
