STRUCTURAL NOTES 00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS All materials and construction shall conform to the drawings, these notes, and any specifications for this project. During the construction period, the Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of the construction project, including all excavation procedures. The Contractor shall provide adequate lagging, shoring, bracing, guys and protection of adjacent property, structures, streets, and utilities in accordance with all national, state, and local safety ordinances. All information shown on the drawings relative to existing conditions is given as the best present knowledge, but without guarantee of accuracy. Where actual conditions conflict with the drawings they shall be reported to the Engineer so that the proper revisions may be made. Modification of design drawing details shall not be made without written approval of the Engineer. Provide vertical support and lateral bracing for electrical and mechanical equipment, vents, ducts, and piping per the applicable code requirements. DIVISION 1 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 01312 PROJECT COORDINATION The Contractor is responsible for coordinating the work of all trades and shall check all dimensions. The Contractor shall ensure that subcontractors and fabricators receive all applicable design information including geotechnical reports, drawings, notes, and specifications. Units are capable of delivering bottom (down - flow) or side (horizontal) handling of supply and return air. CHP16 models are available in five sizes, single and three phase voltage with 24,200 to 56,000 Btuh (7.1 to 16.4 kW) cooling capacity and 23,200 to 58,000 Btuh (6.8 to 17.0 kW) heating capacity. CHP16 models are available with a choice of thermostat and related controls which include: electro- mechanical, electronic, W973, T7300,0 T8600,0 T8621 and W7400. In addition a factory installed commercial controls platform consisting of control system and econ- omizer wiring harness is furnished as standard. Optional accessories include: electric heaters, outdoor coil guards, 4 horizontal filter kit, roof mounting frames, stand -off mounting kit, down -flow or horizontal economizer dampers with modulating or three position damper motor, step -down or flush ceiling supply and return air diffusers, and manual outdoor air dampers. See Specifica- tion tables. Approvals— Units have been tested in the Lennox Research Labora- tory environmental test room and rated according to Department of Energy (DOE) test procedures and in accordance with ARI Standard 210/240 -94. In addition, units have been sound rated in the Lennox re- verberant sound test room in accordance with test conditions in- cluded in ARI Standard 270.95. Units and components within are bonded for grounding to meet safety standards for servicing required by U.L., C.S.A., NEC, and CEC. Optional electric heaters are U.L. and C.S.A. listed and are rated and tested according to DOE test proce- dures and FTC labeling regulations. Blower data is from unit tests conducted in the Lennox Laboratory air test chamber. CHP16 Rooftop Installation With Horizontal Economizer Equipment Warranty— The compressor has a limited warranty for a full 5 years. All other covered components have a limited warranty for one year. Refer to Lennox Equipment Limited Warranty included with the equipment. Cabinet— Rugged cabinet is constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel. Cabinet is subject to a five station metal wash process resulting in a perfect bonding surface for the paint finish of powder enamel, electrostatically bonded to the metal. Large removable cabinet pan- els allow service access. Base section and cabinet panels exposed to conditioned air are lined with thick fiberglass insulation. Supply and return air openings have flanges for ease of duct connection. Control box with factory installed controls is conveniently located for service access. A low voltage terminal strip is furnished and factory installed on all models. Electrical inlets are furnished for entry into the cabinet. Indoor coil drain pan is constructed of painted corrosion resistant gal- valume and is equipped with a galvanized pipe (mpt) drain outlet. Lift- ing brackets are factory installed on all models. Refrigeration System — Complete factory sealed refrigeration sys- tem consists of: compressor, outdoor coil and fan, indoor coil and blower, high pressure switch (manual reset)(all models except CHP16 -311), reversing valve, suction and liquid line service gauge ports and full operating charge of refrigerant. CHP16 -261 -311 and -410 models have a refrigerant metering /flow control device. Bullet - shaped metering orifice moves to free flow position during reverse refrigerant flow, eliminating check valve. CHP16- 510 -650 models have a check and expansion valve and thermometer well.
