SPECIAL MEETING Council Chambers
MINUTES
Council President Traynor called the Special Meeting
to order.
STERLING, TRAYNOR, DAVIS
Council President Traynor went over the items on the
Proposed Agenda for the Tukwila City Council to be held
October 21, 1974. The proposed agenda will be followed
with following exceptions.
Steve Hall asked that LID #22 be delayed until next City
Council Meeting on November 4, 1974 as additional information
is needed.
Councilwoman Davis stated that citizens in the McMicken
Heights area are complaining about the streets that have
just been restored. Steve Hall replied that the contractor
had been notified and they are responsible for completing the
job. He has talked to those citizens and explained that their
requests will be taken care of.
Bill Moore requested that letter from Richard Hunt, City
Parks and Recreation Director, to Skip Traynor be considered
at next City Council Meeting. The letter requests part of the
original fund share of $3,500 to be used by the Department for
the winter program.
Councilwoman Davis also requested a break down of the
remaining revenue sharing funds from City Clerk to be considered
on the Agenda so it can be reviewed. Council President Traynor
stated the item would be added to the Agenda and the letter
included in the packet for City Council members to read prior
to the meeting.
Letters regarding annexation between County Executive Spellman
and King County Councilman Forsythe will be discussed.
Letters written to House of Nine, Hazel's Candies, and Ames
Shoes by Councilman Saul will be read in City Council Meeting.
The letters are identical, so one letter will be read. Also,
replies from Mayor Todd will be read.
Letter to Mayor Todd from Department of Ecology regarding
grant increase will be read in Council Meeting. The copy
of the letter will be included in the Agenda packet for
Council Members to read prior to City Council meeting.
A letter to the Council from Gary Crutchfield, Planning
Technician, regarding adoption of Shorelines Management ordinance
will be discussed at the Council's work meeting on
October 28, 1974.
Councilwoman Davis stated she could contact an individual
who could present a seminar on Roberts Rules of Order at a
work session of the City Council. It would take approximately
an hour and one -half. Council President Traynor asked her to
set the date that would be convenient for individual.
Council President Traynor requested that City Treasurer be in
attendance at Council Meeting on October 21, 1974 and that the
Investment Report be submitted to the Council on Friday.
Letter and contract will be read and considered at City Council
Meeting if the Council decides to meet in Executive Session.
MOVED BY TRAYNOR, SECONDED BY DAVIS, THAT THE SPECIAL MEETING
ADJOURN. CARRIED.
