Another use "made -to- order" for the ET -III -W is the dewatering of decorative and hard chrome plating solutions. The ET-HI-W can be used directly on the plating tank to remove rinse spray water and fume scrubber water. Dewatering of waste solutions (cutting oils, printing ink & paint washwater, spent chemical solutions, photo waste) save the users of ET -III -W evaporators thousands of dollars in disposal costs. Where the need is for only 3 to 4 gallons of evaporation per hour, no added heat is required. Heat for evaporation is taken from the room air that is forced through the evaporator. .ix r,:.ry.;a:i. Our plating customers have doubled their benefits by using the EVAPORATIVETANKTM for E.P.A. compliance and discovering dramatic savings in their waste treatment costs. The EVAPORATIVE TANKTM has also found new uses in the anodizing, painting, photographic and other fields. This proven, simple and inexpensive system of recovery and reduction can pay for Itself In as little as 30 days. EVAPORATIVE TANKTM Series FOR DRAGOUT RECOVERY & WASTE REDUCTION. How It Works... Pumped solution is circulated at a high rate from your process tank or reservoir up to the ET-II or ET-III, and is drained back by gravity to your tank. In the evapo- rator, the solution is sprayed onto 700 or 1,000 square feet of evaporative panels to humidify the blower air that is forced through these panels. The humid air is then ducted to the outdoors. Heat for evaporation is taken from the solution pumped through the evaporator, about 9,000 BTUs per gallon of evaporation. 1 — Pat. #4790904 BALL VALVE — EVAPORATIVE PANELS A "triple-effect", proprietary mist elimi- nator reduces any droplet emissions to a very low level. An optional AlrScrubberTM can be installed inside the EVAPORA- TIVE TANK"' at any time to further reduce emissions to meet the most strin- gent regulations. The ET III -W depends on a 40 to 50 gpm flow rate and large solution drops suspended in the air stream for its exten- sive evaporative surface.
