LARGE AREA COOLING AND HEATINLI MADE SIMPLE.
Intelligent Remote Controller
Highly advanced microprocessor technology is
one reason why Mitsubishi leads the air comfort
category. This ultrathin microprocessor remote
controller with LCD display gives you a variety of
functions and options to keep room comfort
perfectly balanced. It lets
you check Mr. Slim's
operating conditions with
just a glance. In the rare
case of a malfunction the
self- diagnostic system even
indicates specific problems
for easy repair.

Outdoor Compressor Unit
Mr. Slim outdoor compressor units are
extremely efficient and reliable, and true space -
savers.
These models can be installed up to 164
feet away from the indoor unit. They connect
simply with a single three to four inch conduit
through the wall or ceiling. No ductwork or
remodeling is necessary. As many as ten units
can be installed in a row for major space
savings.
Outdoor units are designed with
a front - access service panel that
provides easy access to all
maintenance points.
These units operate in outdoor
temperatures as low as zero degrees
fahrenheit when the optional wind baffle is
installed. So you can cool spaces such as
computer rooms year round.
Mr. Slim heat pumps also feature automatic
cooling /heating changeover for simple control
and lower maintenance. You never have to
readjust the unit.

Redi- Charged System
Mr. Slim "P" Series features the industry's
first redi- charged refrigerant system. There is
no need to adjust the amount of refrigerant to
match the piping length on -site unless lines
exceed 100 feet. You'll see a major reduction in
installation time and labor costs. Plus you can
always count on Mr. Slim's reliability from day
one because they're thoroughly charged and
tested at the factory. You know it's going to
work.
Hot Start System
Mr. Slim heat pumps provide warmth right
from the beginning. At the start of heating and
after defrosting, a very low fan speed prevents
the unit from blowing cold air into the room. And
a microprocessor controlled booster heater
speeds the warming process.

FEATURES
DESCRIPTION
The EFD Series heat pump is the outdoor part of a versatile
system designed to economically heat and cool a home or small
business, The compact design of these outdoor units make
them ideal for ground or roof installation. They are available with
quick or sweat connect field piping connections. The quick
connect units contain enough refrigerant charge for the outdoor
unit and a matching indoor coil. Sweat connect units have
service valves and contain enough refrigerant charge for the
outdoor unit, a matching indoor coil and 15 feet of Interconnect-
ing piping.
EFD heat pumps can be custom - matched with one of YORK's
two lines of evaporator blower sections, each designed to serve
a specific function. Electric heaters are available for both, in a
variety of sizes.
For Add-On applications, the indoor coil may be applied In the
supply duct of a conventional gas, oil or electric furnace. The
heat pump will be the primary source of heat for the building with
the fumace operating only when the heating requirement ex-
ceeds the capacity of the heat pump.
QUALITY CONDENSER COILS - The coil is constructed of
copper tube and black coated hardened aluminum fins for
durability and long lasting efficient operation. The fins on the unit
are protected with a decorative grille.
DEFROST CONTROL - Time / Temperature control provides
field selectable time periods between defrost cycles (30, 60 and
90 minutes), LED lockout indicator, anti -short cycle timer protec-
tion are also provided. A built -In soft lockout helps to avoid
nuisance trips on high pressure.

Models E *FD018 thru E *FD060
Nominal Capacity: 18 thru 60 MBH
PROTECTED COMPRESSOR - The compressor is intemally
protected against high pressure and temperature. This Is ac-
complished by the simultaneous operation of high pressure
relief valve and a temperature sensor which protect the ccm-
pressor if undesirable operating conditions occur. All units have
standard crankcase heat for added protection (except 043 and
060, since they are scroll compressors).
DURABLE FINISH - Cabinet is made of pre - painted steel. The
pre - treated flat galvanized steel provides a better paint to steel
bond, which resists corrosion and rust creep. Special primer
formulas and glossy earth tone finish insure less fading when
exposed to sunlight.
LOWER INSTALLED COST - Installation time and costs are
reduced by the fully exposed refrigerant connections and the
single panel covering of the electrical controls. The small base
dimension means smaller mounting pads or less materials re-
quired for mounting, lowering installation costs.
TOP DISCHARGE - The air from the top mounted fan is blo'.
up away from the structure and any landscaping. This allows
space saving arrangements of multi -unit installations.
LOW OPERATING SOUND LEVEL - The upward air flow
carries the normal operating noise up away from the living area.
The rigid top panel effectively isolates any motor sound. Isolator
mounted compressor and the rippled fins of the condenser coil
muffle the normal fan motor and compressor operating sounds.
LOW MAINTENANCE - Long life permanently lubricated motor -
bearings need no annual servicing.
RE- USABLE SERVICE VALVES - Provided on I c
both the liquid and vapor connections fob
charging, and servicing,

DESCRIPTION
FEATURES
This unique modular system allows the flexibility to handle any
application. These versatile coils and blowers may be used for
upflow, downflow, or horizontal applications. They may be com-
bined to function with a cooling only unit or with a heat pump and
may include electric heat. The blower and electric heater could
be used alone for electric furnace applications,
BLOWERS - Models to match any air flow or voltage require-
ment. The compact size allows easy installation. Blowers are
sized to deliver design air quantity both efficiently and quietly.
The direct - drive, multi-speed blower motors provide a selection
of air quantities to match any application. All electric heat kits and
transformer relay kits include a one - minute blower off delay as
standard to enhance system efficiency ratings. The durable,
pre - painted steel protects the unit against rust and corrosion.
N'AH models have 1/2 inch fiber glass insulation and N FA
models have 1 inch insulation (R value = 4.2).
COILS - Nominal 1 thru 5 ton models match Stellar 2000T
• series units. Staggered rows of rifled copper tubes are mechani-

and long- lasting quality. The G'1-1C, G'FC and G'HT coils are
multi - position and may be used for upflow and horizontal appli-
cations without modification or may be field-converted for down -
flow application. The G'1-IC and G'FC coils use the YorkMateTM
refrigerant control. The G'HT coils have a thermal expansion
valve factory installed. Coil cabinets are insulated to prevent
sweating. G•HC models have 1/2 inch insulation while G'FC
and G'1-IT models have 1 inch insulation (R value = 4.2).
ELECTRIC HEATERS - Models are available to match any
requirement. All heaters include nickel- chromium elements with
a 5 -year limited warranty. Sequencers•are provided to control
heaters in all models. Circuit breakers are used in all 208/230
volt, single -phase heaters of 13 KW and larger. Models
equipped with circuit breakers may be altered in the field to use
multi-source power supply. Over- tenperature limit switches pro-
vide protection from air flow loss.
