Project No. 93 -DR10
Municipal Stormwater Capacity Grant Amendment
ISSUE
Authorize Mayor to sign Amendment No.1 to Grant Agreement No. G1100108 with the
Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE).
BACKGROUND
Tukwila received $118,485.00 in a Municipal Stormwater Capacity Grant in 2010. The
(DOE) informed Tukwila that it has been awarded an additional $50,000 in grant funds.
This is Tukwila's share of funding from the Washington State Legislature that provided
an $8.9- million appropriation from the Local Toxics Control Account in the 2012 -2013
Operation Budget.
ANALYSIS
Staff has reviewed the requirements for this additional funding and identified proposed
projects that are currently listed in our Surface Water Management Program which meet
the eligibility requirements for this grant. This is a non competitive grant and matching
funds are not required.
RECOMMENDATION
The Council is being asked to approve the amended grant agreement with the DOE in
the amount of $50,000 and consider this item at the March 12, 2012 Committee of the
Whole Meeting and subsequent March 19, 2012 Regular Meeting.
