ISSUE

Prepare for the 2013 -2014 Biennial Budget and the 2013 2018 Capital Improvement
Program.
DISCUSSION
As requested by the Utilities Committee, staff will present the process that is taken by staff
and Council to approve the 2013 -2014 Biennial Budget and the annual 2013 2018 Capital
Improvement Program.
We will review the CIP Attachments A through G and the corresponding information in those
rate models, specifically for the water, sewer, and surface water utility rates.
The Water, Sewer, and Surface Water Comprehensive Plans are scheduled to be
completed this year and additional utility projects will be forthcoming as well as an analysis
of each utility's financial stability. Additional educational opportunities will be available
throughout the year.
RECOMMENDATION
Information only. Please bring your 2012 CIP and 2011 -2012 Biennial Budget books.
