Discuss Utility Engineering issues that will be top priorities for the 2008 Utilities Committee
and select Council meetings.
BACKGROUND
The 2008-20 13 Financial Planning Model and Capital Improvement Program was adopted on
December xx, 2007, and includes numerous projects that are slated for design and construction
in 2008. Also, numerous development projects are in the works that have indirect impacts on
our engineering program and projects.
DISCUSSION
The following issues are likely to be brought forward to Committee:
Surface Water Items
. NPDES Phase II update
. Duwamish Gardens
. GIS Inventory Area 4
. Annual Drainage Program and Private System Adoptions
. Tukwila International Blvd High-Flow Bypass (included in Till Phase WIll)
General
. Standby Power Upgrades
. Citywide Telephone System Upgrade
. City Facility Seismic Analysis
. TMC 14 update
Sewer Items
. GIS Inventory - Area 4 Update
. Sewer Repair at 14438 59th Ave. S.
. Sewer Infiltration and Inflow (1&1)
. Gravity Sewer under 1-405 to Tukwila
. Tukwila South development
Water Items
. Southcenter Blvd. Water Main Replacement
. MLK Jr. Wy. Waterline
