BUILDING OWNER/AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed
by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit
application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal.
VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION The valuation is for the work covered by this permit and must be filled in by the applicant. This
figure is used for budget reporting purposes only and not to calculate your fees.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall
expire by limitation. The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180
days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Mechanical Code (current
edition). No application shall be extended more than once.

The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by
The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
1. A fire alarm system is required for this project. The
fire alarm system shall meet the requirements of N.F.P.A.
72 and City Ordinance #1646.
2. H.V.A.C. units rated at 2,000 cfm require
auto - shutdown devices. These devices shall be separately
zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station
supervision is required. (City Ordinance #1646) (UMC sec.
1009)
The installation of wiring and equipment shall be in
accordance with NFPA 70, Article 760, Fire Protective
Signaling Systems. (NFPA 72- 2 -1.4)

General Installation Roof Curb Assembly
Information
Before assembling the roof curb, read the
entire manual carefully to become familiar with the
• installation procedures.
To mount the roof curb on a new building,
assemble at any convenient location and install as
soon as the roof support members are in place.
Generally, the curb should be placed directly on the
roof support members, using tack welding or other
suitable fastening method to secure the roof curb in
place.
If the curb is to be mounted on a roof deck,
additional nailing plates must be provided directly
below the flanges of the curb to give further support,
and to minimize vibration. See Figure 3.
When installating on an existing building,
hoisting the shipping container directly onto the roof
is recommended.

1.
Open the shipping container near the installation
site.
2. Set the 4 perimeter pieces, (2 end rails and 2
side rails), together to form the curb.
3. Insert 3 screws (provided) in each corner. At-
tach the corners by allowing the angle of the
side rail to fit inside the end rail. (See Figure 9.)
4, Some screws are designed to be installed from
outside to inside and some from inside to out-
side. To determine screw direction, check the
relation ship between the clearance hole (large)
and engagement hole (small). Screws should al-
ways be installed through the clearance hole first,
then into the engagement hole.
5. Place the cross members into position and secure
with screws (see Figure 1). These cross members
provide support for the supply and return
ductwork.
6. Place the two condenser pans as shown in Figure
1, at the end of the curb under the condenser
section. The third panel is placed in the small
opening to the left of the supply air opening.
NOTE: It is suggested that the starting collars
for the supply and return ductwork be installed
prior, to the curb being placed into position.
