must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review.
BUILDING OWNER/AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed
by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit
application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal.
VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION The valuation is for the work covered by this permit and must be filled in by the applicant. This
figure Is used for budget reporting purposes only and not to calculate your fees.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall
expire by limitation. The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180
days upon written request by the applicant as defined In Section 304(d) of the Uniform Mechanical Code (current
edition). No application shall be extended more than once.

The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
1. H.V.A.C. units rated at 2,000 cfm require
auto- shutdown devices. These devices shall be separately
zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station
supervision is required. (City Ordinance #1646)
All new fire alarm systems or modifications to
existing systems shall have the written approval of
The Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau. No work shall
commence until a fire department permit has been

Remote indicator lights are required on all above
ceiling smoke detectors. (City Ordinance #1646)

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
INSTALL (1) CLIMATE MASTER MODEL #V240-34 HEAT PUMP
ON THE CAP OF THE CONTROL ROOM.
TIE INTO THE FRONT DISCHARGE WITH A 19" X 16" TO 24" DIA.
TRANSITION. RUN 24" DIA DUCT WORK FROM THE TRANSITION
AT 54" ABOVE CAP. SUPPORT DUCT WORK OFF OF CAP.
�U .. °TIE INTO THE 24" SUPPLY DUCT AT 54" AFF WITH A 30 DEGREE
LATERAL. RUN 15" DIA DUCT TO THE DIFFUSERS SHOWN. THE
DIFFUSERS WILL. BE SURFACE MOUNTED ON THE UNDERSIDE OF
THE CAP.
,''LOWER THE 24" DUCT WORK TO CAP ELEVATION WITH (2) 24"
x '90 DEGREE ELLS.. SUPPORT THE NEW DUCT WORK OFF OF
UNISTRUT BOLTED TO THE CAP. ELEVATE THE DUCT WORK
HIGH ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE SPRINKLER PIPING TO PASS
UNDERNEATH.
TIE INTO THE LOWER DUCT WORK WITH A 30 DECREE LATERAL.
RUN 15" DIA DUCT TO THE DIFFUSER THAT WILL BE SURFACE
MOUNTED BELOW THE CAP. PROVIDE A BUTERFLY TYPE VOLUME
DAMPER IN EACH LATERAL (TYP 4).
EXTEND THE 24" DIA DUCT WORK ALONG THE CAP SUPPORTING
IT SO THAT THE SPRINKLER PIPING CAN PASS UNDERNEATH.
TERMINATE THE 24" 24" DIA SUPPLY DUCT WORK WITH A 24 TO
15" DIA TRANSITION. EXTEND 15" DUCT WORK TO THE LAST
DIFFUSER. INSTALL DUCT WORK WITH A 30 DEGREE ELL.
PROVIDE A BUTTERFLY TYPE VOLUME DAMPER IN DUCT WORK.
RUN 36" X 24" R/A DUCT WORK UP FROM THE CONTROL ROOM
INSTALL AN OPPOSED BLADE DAMPER IN THE R/A DUCT FOR
MANUAL BALANCING. TIE THE R/A DUCT INTO THE HEAT PUMP
WITH A MITERED 90 DEGREE ELL. CONNECT A 24" X 24"
OSA DUCT TO THE THE R/A DUCT. INSTALL AN OPPOSED
BLADE DAMPER IN THE OSA DUCT AND BALANCE TO 500 CFM.
INSTALL SMOKE DETECTORS IN THE RIGHT R/A DUCT WORK
AND THE RIGHT SUPPLY MR DUCT WORK. CONNECT TO ADT.
NOTE: SUPPORT THE DUCT WORK AT 10 INTERVALS AND AT
THE POINT AT WITFI THE DUCT WORK PENETRATES THE
CAP. ALL CAP PENETRATIONS WILL REQUIRE A 1 1/2 HR.
FIRE DAMPER. INSTALL THE FIRE DAMPER ACCESS DOOR
ABOVE THE CAP. PAINT ON EACH DOOR LETTER THAT
READ "FIRE DAMPER." THE LETTERING WILL BE IN
RED AND WILL BE 3" HIGH.. INSTALL THE
FIRE DAMPERS IN THE NEW DUCT WORK WITH
A 16 GA SLEEVE AND S- -CLIPS ON TOP AND
BOTTOM OF DUCT.
