M I N U T E S
Council President Traynor called the meeting to order.
STERLING, TRAYNOR, HARRIS, JOHANSON. Councilman
Gardner arrived at 7:33 P.M.
All Agenda items were briefly discussed and approved
with the exception of Item 8.b. Councilwoman Harris
stated there are several legal questions regarding
funding of the undergrounding yet to be settled.
She felt the item should be discussed in the next
Committee of the Whole meeting, July 14.
A letter submitted by Steve Hall with accompanying
proposed resolutions regarding contractual agreements
with Puget Sound Power ET Light Co. and with Pacific
Northwest Bell was discussed. Council Members felt
the item was submitted too late for inclusion on the
July 7 Agenda and also felt it tied into the under
grounding progress report discussion now scheduled
for July 14. The letter and proposed resolutions
were referred to Monday, July 14 Committee of the
Whole meeting.
Council President Traynor read a telephone message
from Frank Todd stating he would accept a rezone to
R -4 in lieu of RMH in order to prevent possible legal
action if the Council follows the Community Affairs
Committee recommendation to deny his rezone request.
Council Members decided this item would then have to
be referred back to the Planning Commission as there
is some question whether the Council can amend the
classification of rezone requested without due process.
MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY STERLING, THAT THE
MEETING ADJOURN. CARRIED.
