BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION The valuation is for the work covered by this permit and must be filled in by the applicant. This figure is used for budget reporting purposes only and not to calculate your fees. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation. The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Mechanical Code (current edition). Bidcjrs shall inform themselves of the conditions under which the work is to be performed, con- cerning the alter of the work, the structure, the obstacles which may be encountered and all other relevant matters concerning the work to be per- formed and no Contractor shall be allowed any extra compensation for items on which he has foiled to so inform himself prior to bidding, and the successful contractor must employ, as far as possible, such methods and means in the carrying out of his work as will not cause any interruption or interference with any other contractor. CODES All work under this section shall be done in strict accordance with the latest adopted issue Of all pertinent " codes that are in effect. SHOP DRAWINGS Shop drawings giving all details, dimensions, construction details and performance character- istics shall be submitted for all electrical equipment and materials, in accordance with the General Condition and the Modifications to the General Conditions. Shop drawings shall be Submitted on the following equipment: Light Fixtures Panelboards Transformers Disconnect Switches Wiring Devices NAMEPLATES Electrical equipment shall be identified with three ply laminated plastic. The outside laminations shall be white " and the center lamination, black. Engraving shall extend through the front lamin- ation so that the black letters appear on a white background. Nameplates shall be perma- nently attached. Ciruit directory shall be typewritten (handwritten is not acceptable) and shall identify circuit as to type and location as follows: "Ltg" for lighting circuit followed by room number in which circuit appears. " Recept." for receptacle circuit followed by room number in which receptacle appears. "Motor" for motor followed by ' the equipment identification and room number in which motor is located. MiNOR DEVIATIONS The drawings accompanying these Specifications, indicate generally, the design and arrangement of equipment, ' apparatus, fixtures, " accessories, conduit and .wiring necessary to complete the installation of the system. The exact location or arrangement ' of the apparatus and equipment, unless otherwise dimensioned, is subject to minor chanQes necessitated by field conditions and shall be made as required without additional cost to the Owner. Measurernents shall be verified by actual observation at the construction site. Contractor shall be responsible for all of this work fitting into place in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner. Contractor shall provide all necessary offsets, raises or drops in conduit and fixtures as required 'by building conditions at no additional cost to the Owner. 6. AMBIGUITY OF PLANS AND SPEG.EEGAIIQN if this Contractor does hot clearly understand the plane and specifications, or is ' not sure of '' their intent, he should obtain the Architect's written explanation °prior to bidding since this Contractor will be held rigidly to the interpretations of the Architect. Furnish and install pullboxes where necessary in the raceway system to facilitate conductor Installation. All pullboxes shall be made of galvanized steel, - of meta! gauge and ? physical size as required by the NEC for the number and size of raceways and conductors involved.
