BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION The valuation is for the work covered by this permit and must be filled in by the applicant. This figure is used for budget reporting purposes only and not to calculate your fees. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation. The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Mechanical Code (current edition). The design of product- conveying exhaust systems shall be such that emissions are confined to the area in which they are generated by air currents, hoods or enclosures, and shall be exhausted by a dust system to a safe location. Ducts conveying explosives or flammable vapors, fumes or dust shall extend directly to the exterior of the building without entering other spaces. (U.M.C. 'Chp. 11, Sec. 1105a) All spray booth or spray rooms shall be protected by an approved automatic fire - extinguishing system. (UFC 45.209) 2. All modifications to sprinkler systems shall have the written approval of the Washington Survey & Rating Bureau, Factory Mutual Engineering or Industrial Risk Insurers, then by the Fire Department. No sprinkler work shall commence without approved drawings. (City Ordinance #1528) (NFPA 13, 1 -9.1) (UFC 10.307) All sprinkler drawings shall be prepared by companies licensed to perform this type of work.
