Dual Room Systems
America Series Systems are available in both straight
cool and heat pump versions for non - ducted, single
room applications.
The MC2/MH2 system is a two room system with one outdoor section
connected to two indoor units. The indoor unit may be selected as a floor
mount (FCX /FHX), wall mount (WCX /WHX) or ceiling mount (CCX/CHX)
or combination thereof, depending on the room to be served. One power
line may be run to the outdoor section, with a separate power line feeding
the indoor units. The WCX /WHX and FCX/FHX may be ordered with unit
mounted thermostat. The CCX /CHX unit must utilize a remote stat. The
capacity chosen shall be based on the individual room requirements.
Room capacities may be either 9,000 or 12,000 BTU.
The heat pump model MH2 may operate by providing heat to one room
while providing cooling to another during the same operation.
Backup heat for the indoor units may be electric or hydronic on the
FCX/FHX and CCX /CFIX models. The WCX/WHX unit will accommodate
as much as 3 KW electric heat.

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION. All metal parts are fabricated
from heavy galvanized steel for long life and durability.
All interior surfaces are fully Insulated with material to
comply with NFPA 90A and 90B, also UL 181. The casing
is 24 gauge.
HINGED DOOR. Gives easy access to the fan, motor,
heating element and all controls.
FRONT COVER. Optional, with a built -in filter /grill that
accepts a standard throwaway filter. The cover generous-
ly overlaps the edges of the wall opening to act as a
trim panel, so that no finishing of the wall opening Is
required.
DRAIN PAN. All drain pan corners and fitting connec-
tions are brazed. The entire pan is then coated and leak
tested before final assembly of the unit. The pan accepts
an optional floatswitch at the front of the unit. An
auxiliary drain connection is provided.
ELECTRIC HEAT. All electric heating elements are manu-
factured, completely installed and wired at the Chinook
plant. Design compatibility and single source responsi-
bility are assured. Each element is protected by over -
temperature controls.
CONTROLS. All electrical components are Installed
and wired at the Chinook plant. There are no compli-
cated wiring diagrams, no remote boxes to wire; the
controls are completely self - contained. A 40 VA trans-
former supplies 24 volt control current to all relays.
COIL CONSTRUCTION. All coils have copper tubes
mechanically expanded to aluminum fins — using the
latest state -of -the -art rifled tubing and "Raised Lance"
fins, Pat. Pend., where applicable.

V- 100-UL : Uninsulated, high pressure, flexible aluminum air duct in 8 foot lengths com-
pressed to 32' for efficient storage and handling. Easily pulls open to full 8 ft
pieces of flexible dud.. Factory installed universal male/female collars on each
end insures uniform air tight connections. Our superior design allows for better
stretching and bending characteristics. This helps eliminate flattening on the
outside radius of a bend thus preventing restricted air flow.
V- 100 -S-UL : Straight (non-compressed) 8 foot lengths of V- 100 -UL as described above
except with one factory installed universal ma le/fenrale collar, other end plain.
FEATURES :
1.) V- 100- ULN- 100-S -UL is constructed using cor -
rugated aluminum with water tight seams and is
non-combustible.
2.) This product meets all requirements of U.L 181
and is listed as a Class 0 Air Duct in accor-
dance with NFPA 90A and 90B.
3.) U.L Class 0 Fire Hazard Classification permits
installation in return plenum ceilings and other
areas where the use of Class 1 Air Duct would
contribute to smoke and flame spread in the
event of fire.
4.) Fire Hazard Classification -
Flame Spread not exceeding 0
Smoke Developed not exceeding 0
Best Air Duct Fire Hazard Classification.
5.) Special aluminum alloy prevents corrosion and
metal fatigue. Close tolerance machine fabrica-
tion produces a continuous lock -seam that
permits duct to be compressed, pulled open,
bent and reboot without developing leakage.
