Also attached is information for similar details for 20 minute fire protection wood frames by 1CB0 Commitee Research Report and City of Seattle amendments to the UBC. Seattle has amended this portion of the UBC for an unlisted door frame which does not require the frame to bear a label. Note that the detail for their. door frame is exactly the same as used in Tukwila West. Please review the above referenced details in context with the fact that we are providing the same built up sections and degree of protections as required to meet the code and as an acceptable rated assembly. Where corridor walls are required to be of one - hour fire - resistive construction by Subsection (g) above, every door opening shall be protected by a tightfitting smoke- and draft - control assembly having a fire - protection rating of not less than 20 minutes when tested in accordance with U.B.C.
