APPROVED DECKS
These specifications are for use over
wood sheathing, tongue and groove
wood decking, and min. Si" plywood.
PREPARATION OF WORK
Wood decks shall be constructed of
seasoned or treated lumber. The deck
shall be sufficiently rigid to support
roofers and their mechanical equip-
ment without deflection that will
strain or rupture any of the built -up
roofing components. The ends of all
boards shall bear on rafters. Boards
that are warped shall he drawn smooth
and secured properly. No sheathing
hoards exceeding 6 in. nominal width
shall be used. All cracks greater than
S'. in. and all knot -holes shall be coy-
