Separate applications arei11111411each sign. Minimum acceptable plans shall consist of the following: Two 1. Copies - Site Plan (Scale of one inch equals twenty feet or less) Identify address, all property lines, streets, driveways, sidewalks, and easements. Show location of existing structures; specify setbacks. :3. Show location, type, and size of proposed new sign, including set - backs to property lines, right -of -ways, driveways, etc. 4. Show location, type, and size of existing signs. Two Copies - Construction Plans 1. Show footing, . connections to building, size of supports and material used in supports and sign itself. 2. Provide elevation showing copy to be used on sign, size of sign, size of building face, ground clearance and grade(s), total height, clearance from overhead power lines, colors and materials to be used, and method of illumination. The Building Official may require the filing of additional plans or other pertinent information when such information is necessary to insure •; compliance with this code. The redwood shall be kiln dried before lamination and shall have the grain running horizontally. (1) Materials Sign posts shall be pressure- treated Douglas fir or cedar four -by -fours of appropriate length. Lag screws, washers, and other mounting hardware shall be galvanized steel per Section 9 -06.22 of the State of Washington Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Sign paint shall conform to the following industry standard bulletin colors and grades: Stain shall be Olympic oil base stain No. 709, or equal. Painters Enamel Ronan background enamel white or equal. (2) Fabrication No. 134 - Chrome Yellow Lettering No. 132 - Lemon Yellow Lettering No. 101 - White Lettering Identification signs shall have raised letters and borders with the background recessed to a uniform depth of one - fourth (1/4) to three - eighths (3/8) inch. After the letters have been laid out, but before sandblasting, the signs shall be inspected by the Engineer for conformance to the specified sign details. After sandblasting, the entire sign shall be stained with two (2) coats of Olympic oil base stain No. 709, allowing twenty -four (24) hours between coats. The raised portion of the sign shall receive one (1) coat of Dupont No. 3055S light gray Preparakote Primer alkyd -resin type. The letters shall then be painted with two (2) coats of the appropriate colored enamel allowing twenty -four (24) hours between coats and twenty -four (24) hours between the first coat of paint and the last coat of stain. C85 The following color schemes shall be used for the legend and logos: (Numbers refer to Standard Bulletin Enamel). C10.06 WELCOME AND INFORMATION SIGNS Welcome and information signs will be furnished by Metro and shall be installed by the Contractor at the location shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer. C10.07 HANDICAPPED SIGNS Handicapped signs wil be furnished by Metro and shall be installed by the Contractor at the location shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer. Materials required for installation of the sign shall be provided by the Contractor and shall conform to requirements indicated under Section C10.05 (Identification Signs) at the Contractor's expense. C10.08 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS, PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND STRIPING (1) Location and Dimensions Pavement striping and markings for stall lines, stop bars, crosswalks, traffic arrows, handicapped stalls, and transit -only designations shall conform to the location and dimensions shown on the plans.
