Rants, Mayor The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. H.V.A.C. units rated at 2,000 cfm require auto - shutdown devices. These devices shall be separately zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station supervision is required. (City Ordinance #1646) Smoke detectors required by Uniform Mechanical Code Section 1009,(a), (HVAC 2000 cfm and greater), shall be installed in the main return -air duct ahead of any outside air inlet or they may be installed in each room or space served by the return -air duct.
