The purpose of t his Council Work Session was to brief Councilmembers on Phase 2 of the
Facility Needs As sessment and Feasibility Study. Consultants from Berk and Rice Fergus Miller
gave a presentation that i ncluded topics as follows and detailed in the meeting material :
Process r eview
Phase 1 r eview
Phase 2 process and conclusions (evaluation of current facilities, staff engagement, square
footage reconciliation)
Phase 3 preview
Project workplan update
Councilmember s asked clarifying qu estions regarding the items, particularly with regard to the
state of current facilities and the issue of accounting for maintenance over long periods of time.
They suggested that information about phase 2 should be communicated to residents through
media outlets such as the Tukwila Reporter. Council did not identify any requests for additional
information during the work session .
