Dear Mr. Ruppert:
In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note the
following:
1. The outside entrance door is a required exit
and shall be posted as such. This door must
be readily openable from inside the store at
all times that the store is occupied, without
any special knowledge or tools (including keys).
2. Sprinkler protection shall extend to all areas,
including under raised floors. Sprinkler draw-
ings shall be prepared by a Sprinkler Engineer,
approved by the Washington Survey and Rating
Bureau, then approved by the Tukwila Fire Dept.,
before any work begins.
3. Fire extinguishers shall be provided per NFPA #10,
as a minimum requirement.
Extinguishers shall be located so as to be in plain
view (if at all possible). If not in plain view,
they shall be identified with a sign stating
"FIRE EXTINGUISHER" with an arrow pointing.
Construction throughout is to be one -hour fire -
resistive as defined in the U.B.C., 1973 edition.
This shall include all wood, fabrics and any other
otherwise combustible material. Proof of fire
resistance or retardancy shall be provided by the
architect or contractor.
5. I suggest you place a "Stop - Work" order on this
property until all required items are agreed to.

project.
