CALL TO ORDER Mayor Bauch, presiding, called the Special Meeting of the
Tukwila City Council to order.
OFFICIALS IN Mayor Edgar Bauch, City Clerk Shirlee Kinney, Director of Public
ATTENDANCE Works Steve Hall, Planning Director Kjell Stoknes, Police Chief
John Sheets and City Treasurer Mabel Harris.
Mayor Bauch noted that the purpose of the special meeting was to
discuss basic philosophy regarding City Hall facilities with
members of staff, Council and architects and suggested that a
more informal arrangement of discussion be pursued by meeting
as the Committee of the Whole. MOVED BY VAN DUSEN, SECONDED BY
PESICKA THAT THE COUNCIL DISSOLVE INTO A COMMITTEE OF THE
WHOLE MEETING. CARRIED. 7:37 p m
Mr. Thomas Emrich and Mr. Omer Mithun of Mithun Associates
were introduced and general duscussion ensued. A tape re-
cording of this meeting is on file in the office of the
City Clerk. Councilman Gardner left the meeting at 8 :50 p.m.
MOVED. BY VAN DUSEN, SECONDED BY PESICKA THAT THE COMMITTEE
OF THE WHOT,F MEETING ADJOURN AND THAT THE COUNCIL GO BACK
INTO SPECIAL MEETING SESSION. CARRIED. 9:17 p.m.
MOVED BY HILL, SECONDED BY PESICKA THAT A RESOLUTION BE
PLACED ON THE COUNCIL'S REGULAR AGENDA FOR 5- 17 -7 AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN ARCHITECTURAL CONTRACT WITH MITHUN
AND ASSOCIATES. CARRIED.
MOVED BY VAN DUSEN, SECONDED BY HILL THAT THE SPECIAL MEETING
ADJOURN. CARRIED.
