Per you.. request, I have contacted both Jafco and Silo representatives for their
estimate, of hourly traffic flow.
Jay.Winslow of Silo indicated that traffic flow at their new retail store would be
approximately ten (10) vehicles per hour:..
De1.Dudacek of Jafco indicated that Jafco'a retail'traffic flow has reduced between
ten and fifteen vehicles per hour, thus their decision'to reduce stock on hand, and
the reduction in their leased warehouse space.
,Since-.the Jafco estimated traffic flow is .:reduced''. at least by as much as Silo's•will
be..increased, there should be no increase•in the traffic,generated by'Silo.

Purpose of Visit:
Look at Footings
Weather:
Sunny and warm
Permit No.
Visited site to look at footings located along old foundation wall. At all footing
locations except for the northern most footing the old stem wall had been broken out to a
depth of one foot or more. At the time of our visit the stem wall at the northern most
footing was being broken out and was about one half done.
All but three of the footings had been backfilled and looked very good. The second
footing north from the south end was being overexcavated and recompacted at the direction of
P.T.L.
Fill material for the slab was slightly spongy due to excess moisture. This fill over-

Dear Ms. Cronk:
Mr. Karshney of the Benaroya Company has requested that we remove
the 8" reinforced CMU wall at the entry mentioned above. As this
wall was CMU only because of architectural reasons and is non - load'.:,
bearing and is not a shearwall, we see no structural reason that a
wood stud wall would not serve the same purpose.
The reason that this wall is reinforced is that all CMU walls in
structures in seismic Zone 3 must be reinforced REF. UBC 2312(j) 2B.
Please be assured that by removing this C11U wall, we are not
compromising the structural integrity of this structure.
