RE: Sidewalk /access /curb -cut Permit: On site Improvements for
the COSTCO Development - Resubmittal of Plan No. SD -1 (Project No.
84 -27)
. Dear Mr. Jelinek:
Public Works has reviewed and approved your resubmittal for the on -site access
striping, sidewalk and burb cuts in Saxon Drive (a private street) and approved
this plan per the following comments:
A. This plan approval is limited to the above scope of work only.
B. 24 hours prior to beginning the work approved by this review, the
developer's. representative shall apply for and obtain a sidewalk/
curb cut/access permit via the Plar.nine Department (Becky Kent:
C. In addition to the plan approval, acded striping /signing shall be
provided at the railroad crossing in Saxon Drive identifying
the rail crossing for vehicular and pedestrian traffic and allowing
for the safe stopping of vehicles for rail traffic.
D. All striping and signing shall be per the MUTCD and City Standards.
Your contractor shall submit a list of materials for paint and
signing. Also, he shall designate width, length and spacing of
striping in his materials submittal for City approval prior to beginning
his work (Include template dimensions for turn arrows).
E. A stop bar shall be included in Saxon Drive, per the MUTCD, located
prior to its intersection with Andover Park East (The existing
stop sign will be relocated, if appropriate).
Noted is the redeveloped access for this development uses the identical pavement
access; the pavement shown on your plans partially in adjacent private right -of -way.
It is not the City's position to settle private property R/W issues, and therefore,
the continued use of this right of way is not deemed our area to address.
HOwever, in the future, if the use of the adjacent proprty is found to be .
considered innapropriate, then the development shall be required to
submit a new access plan and redevelop the access, as appropriate and
approved through the City. If you have any questions regarding this matter .
