ROLL CALL OF GARDNER, HILL, TRAYNOR, VAN DUSEN, HARRIS COUNCIL MEMBERS OFFICIALS IN Mayor Edgar Bauch, Director of Public Works Steve Hall, ATTENDANCE City Treasurer Mabel Harris and City Clerk Pro Tem Maxine Anderson. ADJOURNMENT 9:35 P.M. TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL June 3, 1976 Special Meeting Fire Station 7:30 P.M. MINUTES Conference Room Mayor Bauch stated that public notice had been given for this Special Meeting and the purpose was to discuss, with the Architects, City Hall site selection. Mr. Mithun gave a slide presentation showing aerial views and diagramatic layouts of the two sites under consideration. The Southcenter Boulevard Site (2.7 acres) was designated as the South Site and So. 151st Site (5.3 acres) as the North Site. Building sizes discussed were 20,000 square foot minimum and 30,000 square foot maximum. During the detailed discussion the two sites were compared on many points, some of those being; compatibility with surrounding zoning, identity, efficiency of site size for proposed use, adequacy for future expansion, vehicular accessibility, energy conservation, development costs, ground water problems, conservation of existing trees and view. At the end of the discussion period Mr. Mithun stated that their recommendation is the South Site, partially intuitive and partially for the reasons that were discussed but which ever site the Council picks they are going to do their best for the City.
