The Public Works Department has reviewed your plans (Job #10063) devised 7/18/84 and approved the submittal per the following comments: Twenty -Four hours prior to your contractor beginning work, he shall apply for and obtain the following permits as conditioned in this letter: 1. Domestic Water Meter - (Deposit for Installation /Regular Connection Charge Per Meter: 1i" _ $1,550) - Special connection charges have been met through original development. A copy of the the recorded utility easement document allowing City staff to carry out the monitoring, maintenance, replacement, repair and original installation of the new 1#" meter - shall be included as part of the application for this water meter permit. The final location for the water meter shall be at the discretion of the Public Works Department (contact Dave Grage at 433- 1863). The pipe material per the domestic water line designated as "superlon - ASTMD-22-391-160 pound per square inch" - is not a common designation per the City's code requirements for material for domestic water lines. For final approval of this material contact Dave Grage: 433 -1863 prior to its installation. City staff shall provide the installation of the new 11" water meter from existing private main to and including the water meter. Sanitary Side Sewer (Permit Fee: $170.00 Regular Connection Charge) - Special connection charges are provided through the original develop- ment and not chargeable by this redevelopment. All sanitary side sewers shall be a minimum of 6" in diameter; a minimum. of 36" cover per PVC pipe /12" minimum cover for concrete metal pipe; all pipe for sanitary sewer shall be at.a minimum 2% graded and be pro- vided in Class "B" bedding throughout. All sanitary side sewers shall . have'cleanout at the point which they leave the building structure and just prior to the junction of the private main. The new 6" PVC sewer, at 1% slope, is not provided per requirements of the sanitary side sewer as stated above. The sanitary side sewer shall be no greater than 150' in length and a 2% grade throughout; therefore, the following is suggested in lieu of providing a sanitary sewer with a 2% grade and shorter than 150': Private Sanitary Sewer Main - (Permit Fee is $25.00) - For that portion of the sanitary side sewer which is beyond a 150' and at a flatter grade than 2%.11.1 private sanitary sewer main shall be built per the following conditions: a) the private main (which is to remain priva- te) shall commence at a manhole structure.at a ' point the service line meets the existing main( and with an additional manhole structure placed at every 300 to 350 feet) with no less than one manhole struc- ture provided at the beginning and end of the new sanitary sewer main extension. The size of the sewer pipe shown may remain a minimum of 6" in diameter throughout but must allow for a minimum of two feet per second flushings in any 24 hour period. As part of the permit appli- cation for the sanitary side sewer permit and the private sewer main permit, the developer shall provide a revised plan to indicate how the above criteria is to be met. . Landscape irrigation - (if appropriate) - Back flow F3revention' devices shall be noted: "DSHS approved ". Four sets of water irriga- tion plans shall be provided in the future through the Planning Department for irrigation, as required. This plan review does not cover the availability or review of franchise utilities. This task remains the sole responsibility of the owner.
