As per your request we have reviewed the proposed renovations for the Cloverleaf building located at the Fort Dent Athletic Complex in Tukwila, Washington. Background Renovation involves expansion of concession area into existing locker facilities. This includes removing several 4 -inch concrete block partition walls and the removal of the top 6 courses of an 8 -inch concrete block wall located at the east face of the building per your plans received February 26, 1986. Investigation Our firm reviewed "As built" drawings A -1 through A-4 to determine the impacts of removing these wall elements. A review of the drawings shows the 4 -inch concrete block walls to be non -load bearing and do not contribute to the lateral force restraining system. The 8 -inch concrete block wall shown for removal does not appear to contribute to the building's framing system. It appears section 1 on sheet A-4 is the typical section constructed.
