Maintain fire extinguisher coverage throughout. The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10 B:C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10, 3 -1.1 and UFC 10.301b) 2. Exit hardware and marking must meet the requirements of Uniform Fire Code Sections 12.104 & 12.114. 3. Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed areas. (NFPA 13, 4- 1.1.1) All modifications to sprinkler systems shall have the written approval of the Washington Surveying & Rating Bureau, Factory Mutual Engineering or Industrial Risk Insurers, then by the Tukwila Fire Department.
