Lower truss wood probes gave readings of 8 -% to 11% averaging 10 - %. Required moisture . readings are, per contractor superintendant to be under 10% for insulation purposes. The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10 B:C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10, 3 -1.1 and UFC 10.301b) Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in the brackets supplied, mounted in cabinets, or set on shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 ft. above the floor. Asphalt concrete pavement shall he Class "B" asphalt concrete conforming to the requirements of Section 34 of the APWA Standards. 2. Extruded cement concrete curb shall conform to the requirements of Section 36 and Standard Plan No. 64 of the APWA Standards. 3. Base course material shall be crushed surfacing base course and top course material conforming to the requirements of Section 23 of the APWA Standards. 4. Cast -in -place cement concrete curb shall conform to the requirements of Section 40 and Standard Plan No. 6, Type E -2 of the APWA Standards. IV. STORM DRAIN 1. All catch basins shall be of the type specified and shall conform to Standard Plans No. 52 and 55 of the APWA Standards. Cast iron inlet frames, grates, or solid covers shall conform to Standard Plans No. 42 and 49 of the APWA Standards. 2. Backfill of all utility trenches shall consist of pit run sand and gravel of maximum size `4" and containing less than 5 percent fines (passing 200 sieve). Backfill shall be compacted to 95 percent of maximum dry density in accordance with ASTM D-1557 test method. 3. iJnless otherwise shown on plans all storm drain pipe shall be aluminum corrugated metal pipe conforming to AASHTO Designation M196; M197; M211; and M219, 16 gauge. All P.V.C. pipe connections to manholes are to be made by grouting into the structure an asbestos - cement sleeve containing a rubber gasket in which the pipe is inserted. 6. All pipe shall be laid on a properly prepared foundation according to Washington State Spec. 7- 02.3(1). This shall include necessary leveling of the trench bottom or the top of the foundation material as well as placement and compaction of required bedding material to uniform grade so that the entire length of the pipe will be supported on a uniformly dense unyielding base. If the native material in the bottom of the trench meets requirements for "Gravel Backfill for Pipe Bedding" the first lift of pipe bedding may be omitted provided the material in the bottom of the trench is loosened, regraded and compacted to form a dense unyielding base. V. EROSION/SEDIMENTATION CONTROL 1. The temporary erosion control system shall be installed prior to all other construction. 2. Where possible, maintain natural vegetation for silt control. 3. As construction progresses and seasonal conditions dictate, more siltation control facilities may be required to ensure complete siltation control. Therefore, during the course of construction, it shall he the obligation and responsibility of the contractor to address any new conditions that may be created by his activities and to provide additional facilities over and above the minimum requirements as may be needed. 4. Temporary siltation ponds and all temporary siltation controls shall be maintained in a satisfactory condition until such time that clearing and /or construction is completed, permanent drainage facilities are operational, and the potential for erosion has passed. 5.
