(For demolition only) 2. The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be . of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10 B:C) dry ohemioal type. Travel distanoe to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10, 3 -1.1 and UFC 10.301b) Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in the brackets supplied, mounted in cabinets, or set on shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed.so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 ft. above the floor.
