Aluminum Extrusions
You bend no "Hat Sections" for any Admiral extru-
sion. Order the cabinet 5 /e" longer than the normal lamp
length, and the socket mount/ raceway covers are flat
strips of metal, just slip one side into the groove pro-
vided in the extrusion, and metal -screw the other side.
Plastic faces from 1/8" to '/4" will fit in these cabinets.
The extrusion presents a very "clean" appearance,
free from scallops and ridges that might detract the eye
from your sign face message.
Radius Corners for 9 and 911
The GX -9 and GX -9R are the same as the 4" and 6"
frames with one very definite advantage, the 9 ",wide
frames will accommodate the standard round''cast
corners that we stock in 6" and 12" radius.
See page 38.
Extruded Aluminum Frames
The 4 ", 6 ", 9" and 111/2" have the same features, width
is the only difference. The 4 and 4R make a cabinet 4"
wide. The 6 and 6R make a 6" cabinet. The 9 and 911
make a 9" cabinet. The 11.5R makes a 111/2" cabinet.
The letter R means the retainers are part of the extru-
sion. '

Mitered corners may be welded or bolted. Eitht"1
way, you may use the 2" x 2" x YB" corner angles slipped
into the groove in the extruded corners for a perfect
alignment and extra strength. 3" x 3" x 3/16" corner
angles are used for the 111/2 extrusion.
The 4 and 6 have removable retainers, 1" x 1" x 1/16"
aluminum angles. The 9 has 11/2" x V/2" x' /e" aluminum
angles. The 11'/2 has a 1'/4" retainer. These retainers
butt against a stop, for easy locating, needing no
spacers. They are screwed on with #7 truss head metal
screws. This allows a sliding face without hinging and
bracing the sign end.
" The #9 frame used with the V -3 Retainers will
recreate a double faced sign 101/2" O.D.
• All knock -down kits and welded frames in sizes up
to and including 96" long are priced with removable
retainers on one end. Sizes over 96" long are priced
with removable retainers on both ends.
