DIVISION 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
All work shall comply with the most recently adopted edition of
Uniform Building Code, Uniform Mechanical Code, Uniform PluMbing
Code, National Electrical Code, Washington State Energy Code,
and applicable land use codes.
Contractor shall verify all existing site conditions, site de-
velopment dimensions, and building dimensions prior co proceeding
with the work. Building perimeter and floor elevations sshall be
established and building setback and height restriction compliance
shall be verified by licensed surveyor prior to excavation. Any
discrepancy in the construction documents shall be immediately
brought to the Architect's attention for resolution.
Written dimensions shall have precedence over scaled dimensions.

Clearing and grading shall conform to applicable regulations,
and shall be condocted such that erosion of soils is minimized.
All footings shall bear on firm undisturbed soil. Foundation
design is based upon an assumed average soil bearing value of
2,000 lbs/sq ft unless stated otherwise. Provide concrete fill
under all over-excavated footings, coarse eranular fill unCer
all over-excavated slabs.
