UNDER TUKWILA BUILDING PERMIT NUMBER :5-05-g
1. No changes will be made to plans unless approved by Architect and
Tukwila Building Department.
• Electrical work to be inspected by State Electrical Inspectors and
all required electrical permits obtained through that agency.
. All mechanical work to be under separate permit.
. All permits to be posted at job site prior to start of any
construction.
5. Partition walls attached to ceiling grid must be laterally braced if
over eight (8) feet in length.
6. Any exposed insulation backing material to have Flame Spread Rating
of 25 or less.
7. All construction to be done in conformance with approved plans and
requirements of the Uniform Building Code (1985 Edition), Uniform
Mechanical Code (1985 Edition), Washington State Energy Code (1986
Edition), and Washington State Regulations for Barrier Free
Facilities (1986 Edition).

Dear Sir.:
The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by
The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
1. The,total.number of fire extinguishers required for
your. establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for
each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s).should be
of the "All Purpose (2A, 10 B:C) dry chemical type.
.Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be .75' or
•less. (NFPA 10, 3 -1.1 and UFC 10.301b)
Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in
the brackets supplied, mounted in cabinets, or set on
shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed so
that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5
ft. above the floor. (NFPA•10, 1- 6.9).'
Extinguishers shall be located so as to be in plain
view. (if at all possible), or if not in plain view,
they shall be•identified with a sign stating, "Fire
Extinguisher ", with an arrow pointing to the unit.

2. Exit hardware and marking must meet the requirements
of Uniform Fire Code Sections 12.104 & 12.114.
Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without
the use of a keyor any special knowledge or effort.

EXISTING CONSTRUCTION
Existing construction shown on the drawings was obtained from field surveys. The
Contractor shall verify all existing conditions and shall notify the
Architect /Engineer of all exceptions before proceeding with the work.
The removal, cutting,,drilling,'etc. of existing work shall be performed with great
care and small tools in order not to jeopardize the structural integrity of the
building. If structural members not indicated for removal interfere with the new work
the Engineer shall be notified immediately and prior approval obtained before removal
of the member.
The Contractor shall safely shore existing construction wherever existing supports are
removed to allow installation of the new work. Shoring shall be designed by a
professional engineer registered in the State and hired by the Contractor. The
existing construction shall be connected and /or embedded into the new construction as
shown or specified.
