As you will recall from past discussions, the purpose of the booth is not for painting or use of flammable liquids rather it will be used to apply a nonflammable solvent to clean office equipment. Lambert Co., that a plan modification was required at the entrance to the women's restroom. The entrance door has been relocated to the north -south perimeter restroom wall and the door swing reversed. The ceiling framing at both restrooms has been changed from 2 x 10's at 24" 0.C. per detail 2, Sheet 1, to 2 x 6', s at 24° 0.C. This will provide adequate strength to support the gypsum wallboard ceiling. Please see attached calculations. We have instructed the contractor to install (3) - 2 x 10's laminated to the 2 x 6 framing with a stud at each end to support the hot water heater above. On the floor plan, the existing 3° x 7° man door between the two warehouse spaces is shown opening to the west with a left -hand swing. This is incorrect.
