Dear Sir: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. Maintain fire extinguisher coverage throughout. 2. Exit hardware and marking must meet the requirements of Uniform Fire Code Sections 12.104 & 12.114. Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. (UFC 12.104b) Exits shall be illuminated at any time the building is occupied.- An emergency system shall automatically provide exit illumination upon failure of the main power supply. (UFC 12.113a) The rear exit of this tenant space is a required exit. Install exit signs at this exit. One of the grill doors into the mall is a required exit. The door chosen must be more than 34 feet from the rear exit. This grill must be openable from the inside without a key or any special knowledge or effort. (UBC 714(h)) 3. Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed areas. The Contractor Shall arrange for inspection of the work by the inspectors and shall give the inssapectoras all necessary assistance in their work of inspection. e. All materials must be of quality herein specified. as shown on the drawings or an approved equal. 3. All materials shall be new, of the best quality and free from defects. Each type of materials shall be of the same make and quality. D. All materials, equipment and devices shall be approved the Underwriter's Laboratory.
