No changes will be made to plans unless approved by Architect and Tukwila Building Department. 2. Plumbing permit to be obtained through King County Health Department and plumbing will be inspected by that agency (including all gas piping). Electrical work to be inspected by State Electrical Inspectors and all required electrical permits obtained through that agency. 4. All mechanical work to be under separate permit. All permits to be posted at job site prior to start of any construction. 6. Any new ceiling grid and light fixture installation to meet lateral bracing requirements for Seismic Zone 3. 7. Partition walls attached to ceiling grid must be laterally braced if over eight (8) feet in length. 8. Any exposed insulation backing material to have Flame Spread Rating of 25 or less. 9. All construction to be done in conformance with approved plans and requirements of the Uniform Building Code (1985 Edition), Uniform Mechanical Code (1985 Edition), Washington State Energy Code (1986 Edition), and Washington State Regulations for Barrier Free Facilities (1986 Edition). 10. Door No. 1 to be provided with safety glazing per Sec. 5406 UBC. 11. Toilet rooms shall be provided with a mechanically operated exhaust system capable of one air change every 15 minutes, and connected directly to outside. Sec. 705 UBC. 12. Provide grab bars at each water closet per WAC 51 -10 Sec 511(a)(4). 13. The proposed cutting of new 9' -0 x 10'- -0 opening through north wall of building 5, has been reviewed by the structural engineer and architect of record, and is subject to the recommendation and consequences noted in letter of April 26, 1988 from Ali Ghassemikia, P.E. of Mackenzie Saito & Associates. Project Number 388259.002 Dear Mr. Benedicto: We reviewed our drawings in accordance with David Kehle Architects' request to investigate the possibility of cutting a 9' -0" wide x 10' -0" high opening in panel type -7 along the north wall of Building 5 between grids 13 and 14 (see enclosed sketch) . Our drawings indicate that this panel is designed for a future 10' -0" wide x 13' -0" high opening. The proposed 9' -0" x 10' -0" opening is smaller and is located within the designed opening. The proposed opening would work provided overcutting at the corners is avoided. However, corner cracks at the opening should be expected because of the lack of trim steel in the concrete panel. VanDusen, Mayor 4/17/88 Fire Department Review Control Number 88 -099 Re: Environmental Safety Systems Inc. - 12882 Gateway Drive Dear Sir: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 1,500 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher should be of the "all purpose" (2A, 20 B:C) dry chemical type. The travel distance to any extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10,3 -1.1) (UFC 10.301) Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in the brackets supplied, mounted in cabinents, or set on shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 ft. above the floor. (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6) (UFC 10.301) Extinguishers shall be located so as to be in plain view (if at all possible), or if not in plain view, they shall be identified with a sign stating, "Fire Extinguisher," with an arrow pointing to the. unit. (NFPA 10, 1 -6.3) (UFC 10.301) 2. Exit hardware and marking must meet the requirements of Uniform Fire Code Sections 12.104 & 12.114. Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. (NFPA 13, 4- 1.1.1) (UFC 10.302) All sprinkler drawings shall be prepared by companies licensed to perform this type of work. Drawings shall first be approved by the Washington Surveying & Rating, Bureau, Factory Mutual Engineering or Industrial Risk Insurers, then by the Tukwila Fire Department. No sprinkler work shall commence without approved drawings. (City Ordinance #1141 & NFPA 13, 1 -9.1) (UFC 10.307) 4. All required occupancy separations, area separation walls, and draft -stop partitions shall be maintained and shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached, penetrated, removed or improperly installed. (UFC 10.208) This review limited to speculative tenant space only - special fire permits may be necessary depending on detailed description of intended use.
