Dear Sir: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 1,500 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher should be of the "all purpose" (2A, 20 B:C) dry chemical type. The travel distance to any extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10,3 -1.1) (UFC 10.301) Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in the brackets supplied, mounted in cabinents, or set on shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 ft. above the floor. All rights reserved. 0 Our Exclusive, Patented Boltless Connector Permits Fast, Easy Installation, Improved Structural Integrity_ Mastorak is a complete "system" incorporating a range of standard sizes and capacities to allow the user to select the most economical end frames, Toad beams and accessories without sacrificing either capacity or quality. Mastorak is manufactured using high strength steel which permits higher loading capacities with lesser component weight than many conventional racking systems. This contributes to the ease of installation and the economy of the system. The patented Mastorak boltless connector is the key component in the Mastorak system. It has 3 wedge - type locking Tugs and provides a total of 14 bearing points. The lugs wedge into the post slots and as the load on the connector increases, the material goes into a tensile rather than shear reaction. This design means that the structural integrity of the connector actually increases as the load increases. The design also simplifies and speeds installation since no spe- cial tools, nuts or bolts are required. Mastorak multi- formed column, with eight right angle bends, provides exceptional rigidity and column strength. The slots to receive the connectors are located in the inner flanges to prevent damage dur- ing installation or in service. For maximum utility, Mastorak pallet rack systems include a variety of standard accessories. For ex- ample, pallets and large items are usually stored directly on the load beams.
