Dear Sir: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. Maintain fire extinguisher coverage throughout. 2. Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. (UFC 12.104b) Exit hardware and marking must meet the requirements of Uniform Fire Code Sections 12.104 & 12.114. The mall entrance is a required exit. The mall entrance must be operable from the inside without a key or special knowledge. 3. Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed areas. (NFPA 13, 4- 1.1.1) (UFC 10.302) All sprinkler drawings shall be prepared by companies licensed to perform this type of work. Drawings shall first be approved by the Washington Surveying & Rating Bureau, Factory Mutual Engineering or Industrial Risk Insurers,.then by the Tukwila Fire Department. No sprinkler work shall commence without approved drawings. Intent of specification is to provide tenant fire sprinkler installation as indicated on the drawings and described herein. B. System to coat -cam to all governing codes and regulations and includes but is not limited to the following item : 1. Remove all existing sprinkler heads & branch lines, install new spk. f:ds & branch lines. 2.- Provide all necessary drawings for permit. C. Contractor shall visit site to review existing conditions prior to bid. D. Contractor shall pay for all permits, fees, et �s. E. Contractor shall provide 3 sets of as- built dr °win � gs showing all tenant improvements and existing sprinkler lines and Sprinklers for the entire space. E',. Contractor shall submit drawings to Protection Mutual Insurance Co. and to the City of Tukwila. Drawings shall have approval of both agencies. See "Additional Notes ". G. Relocate existing sprinkler pipes in area where existing NIU5 to be relocated. HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITIONING 1. Intent of specifications to provide tenant changes to the heating, venti- lating and air conditioning system as indicated on the drawings and described herein. 2. Work Includes but is .not limited to the following items: a. Balancing system b. Service of all HVAC equipment c. Sheet metal work including ducts, dampers, diffusers and grilles d. New 4 ton A/C unit, duct and diffusers. 3. Shp Drawings and Eseitement List: Within .10 days after award of the' - --4 ", Contract, and before ,any materials of this section are ordered, submit the following to the Architect for approval: a. Shop drawings of the completf . work under this section, showing all techni- cal data required for the interface of work of other trades with the work of-this section. b. A complete list; of the equ' rrt proposed to be installed stating the type of equipment and`rits major4on:ponents by make, model ntmber and menu- factttrer and giving full performance data.
