The inspection tag on the fire extinguisher is required to have the date the inspection or maintenance was performed and the initials of the person performing the inspeotion or maintenance. (NFPA 10, 4- 3.4.2) (UFC 10.302) Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in the braokets supplied, mounted in oabinents, or set on shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 ft. above the floor. (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6) (UFC 10.301) Extinguishers shall be looated so as to be in plain view (if at all possible), or if not in plain view, they shall be identified with a sign stating, "Fire Extinguisher," with an arrow pointing to the unit.
